Leadership Programs

Motivation Education has started Leadership Programs for today's youth that connects them directly to experts in their field and when possible to exciting world events. The Youth then work at their Youth Leadership Program site to learn as much as possible about the work of the experts, discuss leadership through daily leadership meetings, set and complete a major original project and communicate their growing knowledge to the experts beyond the Program's four walls. Two examples are linked for review below.

Example 1 – Motivation Education "summits" with K2 Mountaineers on July 20, 2007

Motivation Education partner with Earth Treks Climbing Centers, Inc. set up an interactive website that allowed a Youth Leadership Team to follow the climbers every move high on the K2 mountain. The day the professional team reached the top our leadership team put together a blog to communicate both our congratulations as well as to communicate with the mountaineers about what they had been doing in their at home program. Both the mountaineers and the youth leaders thoroughly enjoyed this program entitled Shared Summits.

Example 2 – Motivation Education works with professionals in the "CARES Species at Risk" Program

Motivation Education partners with the American Cichlid Association and their expert Tropical Fish Hobbyists to raise species of fresh water fish that are either "at risk" or believed to be extinct in the wild. The Youth Leaders in this program built bio-type aquariums for fish from Madagascar and Lake Victoria. In between this hard tank work, the Youth Leaders learned to blog and developed photo galleries of the animals they were caring for. Enjoy the blog the youth leaders put together for expert viewing in conferences in California and other locations around the United States.
